Marketplace rules
The standards every landlord, agent, developer, professional, buyer and renter agrees to on Stream Properties.
Last updated: 1 June 2026
1. Be who you say you are
Use your real name or registered business name. Do not impersonate agents, landlords, developers or Stream Properties staff. Verified badges must not be copied or claimed.
2. Advertise honestly
Only list property you own or are authorised to market. Prices must be the true asking price in the listing’s native currency, with agency, service or legal fees disclosed. Photos must be of the actual property. Mark sold or let listings promptly.
3. One listing, one property
Do not duplicate listings to gain visibility, and do not post the same property under multiple accounts. Duplicate and stale listings are removed.
4. Keep money on-platform where required
For jobs and project briefs won through Stream Properties, do not ask for deposits or off-platform payments before a quote or proposal is accepted. Never ask a buyer or renter to pay a “viewing fee” or “holding fee” to see a property.
5. Respect contact-release rules
Contact details are unlocked only after a quote is accepted or an enquiry is made. Attempting to pass contact details through photos, descriptions or coded messages is a breach.
6. No discrimination or harassment
Do not refuse, filter or price users based on protected characteristics, and treat everyone in messaging with respect.
7. Professionals
Hold the licences, registrations and insurance your trade or profession requires in the market you serve. Quote accurately, deliver as agreed and respond within your stated response time.
8. Reporting & enforcement
Anyone can report a listing, user or professional. Breaches lead to warnings, listing removal, loss of badges, suspension or permanent closure, and may be reported to authorities. Repeat offenders are tracked.
9. Reviews & feedback
Where feedback features are available, only review people you have actually dealt with, and never trade reviews for payment.
